I love the Sarah J. Maas universe. These books genuinely mean a lot to me, and every time I reread them I notice something new hiding in the background.
A random line suddenly feels suspicious. A small detail turns out to be foreshadowing. A character comment connects to something three books later.
And with the announcement that ACOTAR Six is officially coming, my motivation to dive back into this world went through the roof.
So I decided to lean all the way in.
This section of Shelfie Sorcery is dedicated to my rereads of the Sarah J. Maas universe, including Throne of Glass, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and Crescent City. As I revisit the series, I’m collecting notes on Easter eggs, character lore, worldbuilding details, and the theories that start forming once you realize how many breadcrumbs Sarah J. Maas leaves behind.
This is very much a passion project. I’m not trying to build a perfectly organized encyclopedia of the Maasverse. I’m simply gathering the details, connections, and questions that stand out while rereading the books, because half the fun of these stories is the rabbit holes they send you down afterward.
If you enjoy overanalyzing fictional worlds as much as I do, you’re in the right place.
Throne of Glass
The Throne of Glass series is where the Maas universe began, and it’s still one of the most expansive worlds Sarah J. Maas has built.
This page collects notes from my reread of the series, including character details, lore, magical systems, timelines, and the small moments that start to mean a lot more once you know how the story unfolds.
If you’re rereading the series yourself, or just trying to remember how all the pieces fit together, this is where I’m keeping track of everything.
A Court of Thorns and Roses
The ACOTAR series is where many readers first fell into the Maas universe, and it’s also where the theories tend to spiral the fastest.
This section focuses on reread notes, character analysis, worldbuilding details, and the biggest mysteries still hanging over Prythian. From court politics to Illyrian lore to all the suspicious breadcrumbs Sarah J. Maas keeps leaving behind, this page is where I’m collecting everything that stands out.
Fair warning. The deeper you look, the more questions appear.
Crescent City
The Crescent City series expands the Maas universe in ways that raise a lot of new questions.
This page gathers notes from my reread of the series, including character details, powers, artifacts, locations, historical events, and the connections that seem to link Crescent City to the other worlds.
If the last few books made you start side eyeing every tiny detail, you’re not alone.
Thoughts and Theories
Once you start rereading these books closely, it becomes very hard not to start connecting dots.
This page is where I collect the bigger questions and theories that come up while revisiting the series. Some of these are popular fandom theories. Others are things I’ve noticed while rereading and trying to piece together how the worlds might connect.
None of this is meant to be definitive. It’s simply a place to explore the possibilities, revisit unanswered mysteries, and enjoy the fun of trying to solve a fictional puzzle that Sarah J. Maas clearly built to keep us guessing.
ACOTAR 6 Is Coming… So I’m Rereading the Entire Sarah J. Maas Universe
ACOTAR 6 is officially coming, and it completely derailed my reading plans. Instead of a nonfiction year, I’m diving back into the Sarah J. Maas universe with a full reread starting with Throne of Glass. I even created an Excel spreadsheet to track characters, powers, timelines, and theories across the entire SJM universe. If you’re…
